Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Jennifer was surrounded by music since childhood. Her father is a record collector and her grandmother was a pianist who taught Jennifer how to play. Jennifer and her twin sister grew up singing in school performances. Both girls spent most of their time together.

Jennifer began recording vocal demos at the Brooklyn College radio station (WBCR) after the suggestion by a friend. She later bought her first guitar and with dedication and love learned to play. Pieces of the puzzle started to fit when she began to write music. Music was a language in and of itself - unbounded emotion through movement and sound.

Jennifer released her debut album FLOWERS OF GOLD in 2006 (available at http://cdbaby.com/cd/richman). "Remarkable songwriting and a gift for drawing you in with each word spoken." (Independents Only) Her lyrics touch on sensitive and personal themes and are the strength of her songwriting. "Jennifer has a sweet, soothing voice and has a way of simply expressing herself.  In February, 2010 Jennifer released "BEAUTIFUL GIRL", produced by Mike Rogers. It is a radio mix of a song which is featured on her debut album Flowers of Gold. In March 2010, Jennifer released the Beautiful Girl video, highlighting the beauty that exists inside all women regardless of color and size. Beautiful Girl is scheduled to be released to National Radio stations in May 2010.   

Jennifer is currently recording her second full-length album with producer Philip A. Jimenez. When not performing, writing, or in the studio, Jennifer works as an occupational therapist, helping children with autism through the use of music therapy and shares her talents with disabled adults by directing concerts and creating songwriter circles in clinics and hospitals. She frequents travel to India to study Meditation under the guidance of Swami Yogiraj Nanak Chand and spends time in nature as much as she can.
